  4. Pour the marinade, then the cooked chicken. Let the mixture simmer.

  6. Add sugar and ground black pepper.
  7. Dissolve corn starch in water and pour to the simmering chicken to make the sauce sticky.
  8. Let it simmer for another 5-10 mins.

Start by washing the chicken and drain it well. Combine the chicken, onions, garlic, peppercorns, lemon juice, and soy sauce in a bowl. Drain the chicken and squeeze excess liquid (reserve the marinade and aromatics). Pour the oil in a wok and apply medium heat.
